The Sims 4

On September 2, 2014, The Sims 4 released. This game lets you create and control virtual people with different personalities, appearances, and emotions, and design their homes and lifestyles. You can explore various aspects of life simulation, such as relationships, careers, hobbies, and more.

Nerdy Fact: The game may simulate real life, but also has several weird, impossible, and outlandish game mechanics, such as the ability create and revive a Death Flower by grafting various plants together. The Death Flower can be used to bargain with Death and save a Sim’s life.

Stinky & Dirty

On September 2, 2016, The Stinky & Dirty Show premiered. This show is about two anthropomorphic trucks, Stinky the garbage truck and Dirty the backhoe loader, who use their creativity and resourcefulness to solve problems in their town. The show is based on the books by Jim and Kate McMullan and teaches kids about teamwork, perseverance, and asking “what if” questions.

Nerdy Fact: The show has won several awards and nominations, such as the Parents’ Choice Award for Television in 2017 and 2018, the Kidscreen Award for Best New Series in 2018, and the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for an Animated Program in 2019.
