Sometimes gaming just isn’t fun. People can make you feel like you’re not good enough, or it may just be that you don’t meet your own expectations. Either way, feelings of anxiety and inadequacy can make you act in a way that is either uncharacteristic of your normal self or in a way that is not socially acceptable.
Dealing with the emotions caused by the games we play is a very real problem, but we at Love Thy Nerd exist, in part, to offer hope, peace and a positive way to manage the pressure of life that we all feel, and that’s what we want to talk about this week on the Free Play Podcast.

Bubba is the CEO, President and Founder of LTN, host of the Free Play Podcast and the Church Nerds Podcast. He is also a full-time Nerd-Culture Missionary. Kate is a co-founder, admin coordinator, and best girl host of the Free Play podcast for Love Thy Nerd. Some of her favorite games ever are Red Dead Redemption 2, the Assassin's Creed franchise, and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Kate has a Master of Arts in Applied Psychology and thinks games research is awesome. Her husband Steven says that she dies too much in games.
Matt is the CPO & Founder of LTN as well as one of the hosts of the Free Play podcast. When not bustin’ his rump for LTN, Matt can be found, more than likely, playing Gloomhaven.
