CJ Burroughs of The NextGen Nerd Podcast and The Pull List Podcast takes over Bible Thump with a painful—and slightly nerdy—lesson about what happens when we’re always in a hurry. After a rushed attempt to light a burn pile turns into a real-life “Nat 1” fireball, CJ reflects on how our need to do everything faster can affect more than our schedules—it can shape the way we approach God. Looking at Revelation 3 and Jesus’ invitation to come in and share a meal, CJ challenges us to stop treating time with God like another task to squeeze into the day. Instead, what would it look like to slow down, be still, and simply enjoy being in the presence of our Heavenly Father?
