Bible Thump 173 | Joe Bragg: Rethinking Discipleship & Evangelism

SHOW NOTES

What if discipleship and evangelism aren’t separate—but parallel paths leading to the same goal?

In this episode of Bible Thump, Joe Bragg (Christian Board Gamers / Love Thy Nerd) hosts for the first time, diving deep into what it really means to live out discipleship and evangelism side by side. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 5, 1 Peter 3, and Matthew 5, Joe helps us refocus our hearts and minds on how to walk faithfully with others while pointing them toward Jesus.

🙏 Whether you’re leading a Bible study, gaming with friends, or just trying to live out your faith authentically, this episode will challenge and encourage you to see evangelism and discipleship not as separate missions—but as one journey.

Episode Hosts

Joe Bragg
DIRECTOR OF MISSIONS
Joe is an author, speaker, and the Director of Missions with Love Thy Nerd, where he helps connect faith, gaming, and community through meaningful relationships around the table. He is passionate about using board games as a tool for discipleship, hospitality, and gospel-centered conversations. Joe is married to his wife Stephanie, and together they are raising three boys. When he’s not writing, speaking, or working in ministry, you’ll likely find him at the game table. His current top three board games are Wonderland’s War, Architects of the West Kingdom, and Robot Quest Arena—though he’ll gladly make the case that Victorian Masterminds is one of the most underrated games out there.
