Free Play Ep 7. | The Back Row Baptist

SHOW NOTES

In this week’s MASSIVE episode (it kind of got away from us…) Bubba catches up with longtime friend and Founder/Ministry Leader of the Back Row Baptist.  If you’re an avid listener of the BRB Podcast, you’ve heard the first part, already.  Go ahead and skip to 35:45 for our interview with Matt Coker about why he makes games and the barriers he sidesteps to make his dreams become reality.  Matt Warmbier and Kate Kadowaki get the week off, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of Free Play in this week’s episode.

Episode Hosts

Bubba Stallcup
CEO + PRESIDENT + FOUNDER
Bubba is the CEO, President and Founder of LTN, host of the Free Play Podcast and the Church Nerds Podcast. He is also a full-time Nerd-Culture Missionary. Bubba, and his wonderful wife Anna, have 4 children who are pretty good most of the time. A communal gamer at heart who loves to get in and play games with other people #gameNightIStheRightNight
Kate Kadowaki
CO-FOUNDER | LTN ADMIN COORDINATOR
Kate is a co-founder, admin coordinator, and best girl host of the Free Play podcast for Love Thy Nerd. Some of her favorite games ever are Red Dead Redemption 2, the Assassin's Creed franchise, and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Kate has a Master of Arts in Applied Psychology and thinks games research is awesome. Her husband Steven says that she dies too much in games.
Matt Warmbier
COO + FOUNDER
Matt is the COO & Founder of LTN as well as one of the hosts of the Free Play podcast. When not bustin’ his rump for LTN, Matt can be found, more than likely, playing Gloomhaven. He and his wife Erin have something like a billion kids, and they all love to be in the woods all the time. If you follow him on Instagram, everything he posts is a day behind. You’ve been warned.

Faith & Fandom 4 | Paul Mignard: Sketchy Sermons

Paul Mignard has taken a simple method of attempting to pay more attention to sermons on Sunday mornings and developed it to a massive online art gallery of mostly pastors and theologians (and some nerdy icons too) sharing challenging and inspiration quotes. Today, we learn all about him, his process, what doors it has opened, and why he now considers this a ministry.
